How will this campaign improve the ministries at Central Church?
It's no secret that we need improved facilities to adequately minister to the needs of the people around us. The current facilities have served us well but the time
has come to expand our territory.
Why are we having a Vision Expansion Campaign?
The Lord has been clearly speaking to the leadership on the issue of stewardship—not only stewardship of finances but also of our time and
talents. We need to be obedient to this biblical command regarding the
godly management of our personal and financial resources. The start of this campaign paves the way for the future. Not only will we be able to raise the
funds necessary to renovate our facility, but we will also instill a lasting culture
of "good stewardship" throughout our congregation. Consistent and widespread "good stewardship" will enable us to freely flow with God's short-term and
long-term plans for our church. This campaign is the Next Step toward
fulfilling God's vision for Central Church.
Will our regular giving be reduced because of the campaign?
Experience has shown that overall giving improves during such an effort.
With an emphasis on stewardship, people's interest increases and they
invest more fully in the life of the church.
How will I know how much to give?
Allow God to speak to your heart in prayer. Your gift may be in any amount and in any form you and your family chooses. While most gifts will be in cash, some may prefer to give gifts such as stocks, bonds, real estate, mutual funds, etc. What is important is that every person in our church family becomes involved. It's not about equal giving, but equal sacrifice.
How will I pay my commitment?
You may give weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, or in a lump sum.
Most individuals and families prefer a system of regular giving. Giving Guide
When will I be asked to make my commitment?
On Sunday, April 10th as we gather for our normal service. Remember that commitments will span a three-year time frame and are tax deductible. Commitments will also be received at selected times during the year to allow
for new people in the church to be a part of the Vision Expansion Campaign.
Will my commitment be
kept confidential?
Absolutely! As is the case with all giving at Central Church, knowledge of who has committed to give and the amounts of
the commitments is limited to the
financial administrator.
Who is leading the
Stewardship Campaign?
Pastor Mark will lead the church through the campaign. Because the campaign is such a large undertaking the help of many volunteers will be necessary. Gerald Norz and Jim Huhtala will serve as the Campaign Directors and will shoulder much of the responsibility for the day-to-day campaign activities. A group of leaders known as the Campaign Leadership Team will come along side Pastor Mark to see the campaign through to completion.
How can I get involved?
Begin to pray, "Lord what do you want to do through me to fulfill your vision at Central Church?" Say "yes" if asked to help with the campaign. As God speaks to your heart be faithful and take action.
